Our client, a 32 year old woman, was driving south on Georgia Highway 11 in Newton County when a local college student from Georgia Perimeter College was attempted to pull out from a stop sign.  The ensuing crash caused air bags to deploy and totaled both vehicles.  Our client was transported from the scene to the Newton County ER complaining of knee pain and right hand pain.  She was given a prescription for Lortab and directed to seek an immediate follow-up examination with an orthopedic specialist.  She had physical therapy without much relief.  Our client had a previous ACL and meniscus surgery approximately 15 years before this incident.  After this wreck, she had to have additional arthroscopic surgery to fix a partial medial meniscus tear and to remove an old screw that was aggravated and irritated due to the new trauma.
