Our client, an 84 year old woman, sustained injuries and pain to her right shoulder, low back, right hip, and right leg as a direct result of the airline's and airline contractor's negligence.  The contractor's employee never asked our client, who had requested wheelchair assistance, whether she could board the plane by walking up the stairs.  The plane was running late and our client, who was 84 years old at the time, thought that she had no other option but to try to get up the stairs after telling the contractor's employee that she didn't think she could go up the stairs to board the flight.  The defendants in the case attempted to blame our client for assuming the risk of walking up the stairs on her own.  The case was settled prior to trial
