Gwinnett County Wrongful Death Lawyer - Gwinnett County Woman Killed in Accident, Police Blame Bad Weather

Investigators looking into a tow truck accident that killed a Gwinnett County woman over the weekend, believe that poor weather conditions could have caused the crash.

The victim was standing outside her car, checking the damage to her vehicle after a minor fender bender. A tow truck struck her and another motorist involved in the fender bender. The victim died at the scene. She was the mother of an 11- month baby girl. Investigators say that rains could have contributed to the crash.

As a Newnan and Coweta County wrongful death lawyer, I can't stress the following often enough.

  • When you're driving during heavy rains ,slow down.
  • When you're driving in icy weather, slow down.
  • When you're driving in strong winds, you guessed it - slow down.

It's frustrating when you come across accidents that could have so easily been prevented if the motorist had been driving cautiously in bad weather. It's basic driving knowledge that you don't drive at the same speeds, or in the same way you normally do, in bad weather.

  • Don't tailgate even during normal weather, and absolutely DON'T do so when you're driving during rains or storms.
  • Keep below speed limits, and determine your speed by the kind of weather you're facing.
  • Plan ahead for a slow journey - leave a few minutes ahead of schedule.
  • Make sure your car's tires are not worn.
  • Keep your lights on - it allows you see the road ahead of you more clearly, and it makes you more visible to other motorists and pedestrians.
